The Brain of Autonomous Transit Network
Network Operating System (NOS) connects & manages all the functions of the NWOCommute System
NOS, the Network Operating System, is the system that manages the entire NWOCommute Autonomous Pod Transit platform. It connects every pod, port, zone, and charger into a single network coordinating hailing, dispatching, route planning, safety, maintenance, and energy.
It is the command-and-control brain that makes autonomous transit physically possible.
NOS collects real-time telemetry and telematics data like location, battery state, speed, door status, and operational health of POD. When a passenger calls a pod, NOS evaluates every available POD and dispatches the most optimal one based on distance, charge & activity.
NOS and its Routing Engine plan every pod's journey from source to destination. Before a pod reaches any junction, NOS pre-locks that node preventing any other pod from entering. Once the pod clears it, the lock releases.
Multiple pods move simultaneously across the network safely & efficiently.
Every operator oversees the entire network through the Command Centre: a live map of every pod, real-time energy data, port occupancy, and instant alerts with the ability to manually override the system at any time.
NOS is built for auto-recovery from failure. When a zone controller goes offline or a pod develops a fault, NOS acts immediately without waiting for any human intervention.
If a Network Zone Controller fails, NOS automatically merges its zone into neighbouring zones, redistributes pod and charger assignments, and keeps traffic flowing without any service interruption.
NOS classifies every pod fault by severity. High-severity pods are immediately halted and routed to the maintenance bay. Lower-severity faults are scheduled for the nightly maintenance window all without human intervention.
NOS maintains connections to the MQTT broker clusters. If the one broker fails, the another takes over maintaining every command channel to every pod and zone controller.
NOS pre-locks RFID nodes in the path ahead of each pod. If a conflict is detected before it can form, NOS reroutes automatically collision-free, always.
NOS supports enterprise deployments with encrypted communications and independent sites running on private intranets. All site deployments can be monitored centrally from HQ simultaneously.
Every message between NOS, pods, and zone controllers is encrypted end-to-end using mutual TLS. Each device holds its own certificate, signed by a private Certificate Authority.
The entire site network operates on a private intranet no public internet dependency for day-to-day operations. Your transit data never leaves your infrastructure.
JWT-authenticated access with granular roles such as Admin, Operator, Safety Officer, Maintenance Supervisor, ensures every user sees exactly what they need, nothing more.
From a single HQ dashboard, your entire fleet of deployed sites is visible in real time energy, alerts, fleet status, and network health across every location.
